Dr. K. Raghavan Nambiar., B.E (Hons), M.Sc. (Engg), Ph.D (IIT, Kanpur)
Dr.K.Raghavan Nambiar studied in Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and secured his B.E. (Hons) degree with I Class and Distinction from Madras University. He was the recipient of Union Territories Merit Scholarship from Government of India. Later on the Government deputed him for higher studies to the College of Engineering Guindy, Madras, which is the First Technical Institution started by British Government in Asia in the year 1794. Presently this college has metamorphosed in to the Prestigious Anna University, Chennai. He received M.Sc. (Engg) with I Class, Distinction and First Rank from Madras University. While working as Assistant Professor in Government Engineering College, Thrissur he was deputed for Doctoral studies to IIT, Kanpur, which is ranked as Second Best Technological University in the World next only to M.I.T (Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA), and the Best University in India. He secured Ph.D.degree with CPI=9.75 (Equivalent to 97.50 % Marks) and was Topper among Doctorates from I.I.T. Kanpur in 1978. Throughout his academic career he was a distinction holder and topper.
